her request was to use an Umbrella two different ways ... one normal, like an Umbrella should be used, to protect against falling rain. the second card use the Same Umbrella in a New Different way ... NOT to look like an Umbrella ! OUCH
This challenge kept me UP all night.... !!
The stamps I used ... the Umbrella is a generic who knows from where, maybe a dollar store yrs ago.. the Chickens and Coop are from Taylor Expression ..
the Otter is from My Favorite Things Stamps ... Also on this card from Avery Elle is a Mermaid set, I only used her tail :)

Lovely to meet you, Leta! First of all, congratulations on your quitting accomplishment! They say it takes 21 days to break a habit so at five weeks you are well on your way to a lifetime achievement! You picked a particularly challenging time to quit so I'm doubly proud of you! (Coming up on 13 years for me after smoking it for 35 years!)
ReplyDeleteYour Twofer cards are so cute! Well done!! I love how that chick is being blown into the next farmyard on the handle of her pretty umbrella so she can check on her friend! It's a great scene! And your second ocean design is fabulous with the otter and the (mermaid) whale playing with the beachball made from an umbrella! Very ingenious!
Just to correct you for future reference, you don't need to make one design conventional and the other design unconventional. That's up to you. They can both be conventional uses of, in this case, an umbrella, so long as the design layouts are different. You might find more information under the tabs at the top of the challenge for next time. This time you certainly rocked the option of making one of each!! Two fabulous scenes, Leta! Those hens are deliciously whimsical ... and that one hanging onto her brolly is particularly adventurous ... she puts me in mind of Mary Poppins! Fabulous idea to turn the umbrella into a bright, colourful beach ball for your cute critters to frolic with in the wavy ocean ... they're adorable!
